Please look at the pic and answer the poll below.

hey friend! thanks so much for stopping by.

this blogspot is a gift to friends doin' 9 to 5 working for the man and looking for something to believe in.
it's also a place to house a small collection of my ramblings, rants and shoutouts to the robot revolution (a.k.a. the recession).
have a look around and see what you think. and if you like it maybe subscribe. and if not, don't. really you can do whatever you like

in my opinion brunch is the most important meal of the week.
as a longtime bruncher in TO i have rated the following based on what i call the jackson scale (ABC, 1-2-3)

Atmosphere
Breakfast
Cost Benefit (value for your hard earned$)

DAKOTA TAVERN
A***B*C**
ok food, but you don't go for the food. the sunday bluegrass brunch is a toronto staple. not subject to the ratings chart. just a GO.

LAKEVIEW
A*B***C**
24 hour. extensive menu. including deep fried mars bars. hangover and life sympathetic staff. not great for groups over 5 or 6ppl

SAVING GRACE
A**B**C**
expect to lineup. expect the experience to be worth the wait.

EZRAS POUND
A*B**C*
simple menu, small portions. great coffee and clean feel.

CZEHOSKI
A*B**C*
yummiest local organic eggs and beautiful rooftop brunching in the summer. not cheap or fast.

EDWARD LEVESQUE KITCHEN
A*B***C**
quiet but engaging atmosphere. bit pricey.

FRESH
A*B**C**
nontraditional brunch options. all veggie.

INSOMNIA
A**B**C*
basic brunch options, dark inside.

SWAN
A***B**C**
huevos rancheros to die for.

CAFE BERNATE
A**B***C**
tables in front windows are heaven on a sunny day.

DRAKE
A**B*C**
non extensive menu but tasty. not super veggie friendly. great ppl watching.

GLADSTONE
A**B**C***
overflow seating spills into dirty karaoke bar room, more character, less attractive people watching.

MITZIS
A**B**C**
lots of babies but great waffles

RICE BAR
A*B*C***
great for summer - big patio!

AUNTIES AND UNCLES
A***B***C***
inevitable long lineup is worth the wait for the signature dill potatoes

TEQUILA BOOKWORM
A**B**C*
different menu choices. little library for brunch reading.

SHANGHAI COWGIRL
A*B*C*
basics. eggs. grilled cheese. choco milks.

ODDFELLOWS
A***B**C*
great food not a lot of choice.

MUSA
A**B**C*** - bustling and vibrant weekend mornings. great crowd. really bad service is worth it.

SQUIRRLYS
A*B*C***
good for big groups. lots of seating and menu options.

NICHE
A*B**C*
fresher than typical brunch menu.

SCHOOL
A*B**C**
broad menu, terrible service.

AROMA ESPRESSO
A*B*C*
euro take out feel

GRAPEFRUIT MOON
A**B**C**
great outside seating, tasty coffee

HAIR OF THE DOG
A**B***C**
great atmosphere. best breakfast casear

FIRE ON THE EASTSIDE
A**B*C**
best looking waitstaff

MAGGIES
A**B**C**
basic, comfortable, tasty.

THE PALMERSTON
A**B*C*
great for a quicker light brunch.

KALENDAR
A**B**C*
terrible quiche, great people watching patio.

UTOPIA
A**B**C***
extensive options for vegetarians.

A**B**C**
the prime real estate table in the window is worth the number on the bill.
